From my earliest memories, I have been surrounded by art and detail.

My father a period plasterer and perpetual builder of everything, taught me about creating.  He balanced master craftsman techniques with cubby houses of fairy tales.  My mother a decorator, fastidious dresser and lover of all arts opened a world of culture and expression that I have never left.

Professionally I have dipped in and out of corporate life, built careers and travelled.  I have taken the lessons of routine and discipline, communication and teamwork and lived a little in two worlds.

After years living in London I returned home and knew it was ‘now’ that I needed to pursue photography.   I had a new set of eyes in my home town, and a hunger to express what I saw.

As a child I was the daydreamer.

As an adult, I am a day dreamer.

Whilst my ‘birth’ in to Photography is relatively recent, it is in Photography I have found my creative self.  It is with camera in hand that the hours in galleries and museums,  the worlds of books and theatre, the study of style and colour find a common purpose.

That purpose is the work I create.
